If yes then you need to make sure that you are optimising and monitoring it just like all your other social media channels. Did you know that you can now convert your Instagram account into a business account?
With a business Instagram account, you get access to analytics and add a call to action buttons so you can have greater action with your audience. With a business Instagram account, you can even link up your Facebook page and run ads much more easily.
Sound good? Well its super easy to set up if you know how.
Firstly, you will need to set up an Instagram account if you don’t already have one. Once you have added a lovely picture of yourself and a description, you are now ready to make the change.
Head on over to your profile and tap the three dots in the top right corner. If you are using an iPhone, hit the cog button instead. Next, it will take you to your settings where you will need to scroll down to ‘business settings’. You will see an option that says ‘Switch to business account’, tap on it and it will ask you to connect it to your Facebook page. It will ask you if you want to post to Facebook as your Instagram account. If you hit yes, then Instagram will cross-post your images to your Facebook page automatically. This can be helpful if you want to share your content quickly across both social media channels but it might not be right for your audience.
If you are already logged into Facebook it will automatically bring up all the pages you manage, so just select the page you want to connect. Go back to your profile page and then hit the ‘edit profile’ button. In here you will now see a section to input your email, phone number and address. Update these and you are good to go!
