In the week leading up to #FutureDotNow’s Digital Skills week, the UK’s leading digital skills training and transformation agency attended the Mayor’s International Business Programme first-ever virtual trade mission. The series kicked off with #HRTech, where twelve of London’s most pioneering companies in the #HRTechnology sector were connected with New York’s leading corporates, experts in the US digital field.
The mission linked London-based scaleups to potential business partners right across Europe, China, India, and North America. The delegates were “met” with vast business opportunities, key insights and innovative strategies that could encourage the cultivation of strong partnerships and expedite their international growth ambitions.
According to Gartner’s recently published ‘Future of work trends report for 2020’, 48% of employees will likely work remotely at least part of the time after the COVID-19 pandemic, compared to 30% pre-pandemic. In fact, 74% of CFOs intend to increase remote work at their organisation after the outbreak. So, with the lack of prospect of international travel on the horizon, the unparalleled necessity for people to stay connected and the post-pandemic revelations, it’s more important than ever that organisations strategise to stay connected and drive their aspiration of international expansion.
During the event, transformation experts, futurists and industry thought leaders across the UK raised awareness of the behaviour and mindset shift that’s incredibly significant for companies and individuals to adopt as they embrace the “Digital Mindset”.
