Lloyds Bank Academy Course Delivery
As a result of the initial pilot the Lloyds Bank Academy has taught almost 500 people online and 200 in person. Some of which have already found work as a direct result of the programme.
The UK is one of the world biggest economies. However there are 11.5 million adults with a digital skills gap. In order to grow the economy and prepare for the future this needs to be addressed.
Both private and government organisations are taking up the challenging and looking at ways to educate and build digital skills across the populace. Lloyds Bank, a key driver of the UK governments digital skills task force, sought to build a scalable pilot program to train and empower jobseekers.
The programme would need to be accessible to Manchester’s’ most vulnerable of individuals to participate in and contribute to the digital world of today and tomorrow.
Leveraging UpSkill’s experience, in delivering training programs for wide and varied audiences, our team of coaches were placed in 5 Manchester locations over 5 weeks to coach and support job seekers in their digital skills journey.
Each week covered a different course, allowing all attendees to complete the full program at the end of the course. The course involved both AM and PM sessions (giving flexibility to attendees) on 15 modules split into 5 courses. Each session included a mix of practical tasks like setting up an email or creating a google sheet, as well as demonstrations. The practical tasks allowed for attendees to get more hands on and build on skills they could use straight away.
As a result of the initial pilot the Lloyds Bank Academy has taught almost 500 people online and 200 in person. Some of which have already found work as a direct result of the programme. Phase 3 has just started aiming to reach an even wider audience in the Manchester area and hopefully beyond.
